Pioneering the ICT Landscape
Our story began in 1990 with Daffodil Computers, leading Bangladesh's tech industry as the first clone PC assembler (1991) and the pioneer of the "Computer Superstore" concept (1996). Recognizing that hardware alone couldn't drive the nation forward, we made our first foray into human capital development by establishing the Daffodil Institute of IT (DIIT) in 1997.

This era defined our institutional foundation. In 1998, the company incorporated as Daffodil Computers Limited (DCL) and launched daffodilPC, the nation's first local brand PC. As our software wing grew rapidly, we officially established Daffodil Software Ltd. (DSL) in 2001 to deliver enterprise-grade digital solutions. Technology then met large-scale education with the founding of Daffodil International University (DIU) in 2002. A year later, DCL made history as the first purely IT-based public company listed on the Dhaka Stock Exchange.

We expanded our mission to bridge academia, industry, and entrepreneurship. We broadened our educational footprint with Bangladesh Skill Development Institute (BSDI) and the Daffodil International School (DIS) network. To complete the ecosystem, we established Bangladesh Venture Capital Limited (BVCL) to fund emerging startups, and integrated digital employment platforms like Skill.jobs to connect our graduates directly with industry demands. We also formalized our social commitments by structuring the Daffodil Foundation.

Diversification into a 50+ Concern Conglomerate
Daffodil Group evolved far beyond its traditional ICT and educational borders, expanding into a robust network of over 54 independent concerns. We strategically diversified into finance with Amar Securities Ltd, entered the retail market with Danube Home Bangladesh, and expanded our footprint in healthcare through Newtec Pharmaceuticals Ltd and the Daffodil Nursing College (DNC). This period cemented our capacity to run highly integrated, cross-industry operations on a national scale.
