1990
The Beginning
Daffodil began with Daffodil Computers Ltd., combining ICT products, technical support, and training. The foundation was clear from the start: technology should create capability and opportunity.
Begining stage
1994-1996
Entering the ICT Mainstream
The Group expanded into government and corporate technology markets and established international technology relationships, strengthening its position in Bangladesh's emerging ICT sector.

Technology Meets Education
The journey began in 1990 with the establishment of Daffodil Computers Ltd., driven by a bold ambition to lead the ICT sector. Starting with computer sales, accessories, and ICT training services, the company quickly built a reputation for reliability, professionalism, and technological expertise.

2000–2002
Building Digital Foundations
Daffodil expanded into ISP, web and e-commerce, digital employment services, software, and technology solutions. The establishment of Daffodil International University (DIU) in 2002 marked a major institutional milestone, alongside participation in a major government railway reservation ticketing initiative.

2003–2005
Building Human Capital
With the establishment of Bangladesh Skill Development Institute (BSDI), Daffodil International College, Daffodil International Professional Training Institute (DIPTI), and Daffodil Foundation, the Group broadened its mission from technology to education, skills, professional development, and social impact.
2009-2012
Connecting Learning with Opportunity
Daffodil strengthened the connection between education, technology, employability, and industry, while expanding international academic engagement and initiatives designed to make technology and education more accessible.
2013-2015
From Learning to Enterprise
The Group began building a stronger entrepreneurship ecosystem, supporting enterprise development, incubation, entrepreneurship education, and industry collaboration, while deepening its international academic and institutional connections.
2016-2018
Connecting the Ecosystems
Daffodil expanded across technology, education, healthcare, entrepreneurship, employment, and investment, with new ventures and initiatives strengthening the connections between talent, technology, enterprise, and capital.
2019-2021
Expanding the Platform
The Group continued to broaden its institutional and business portfolio, strengthening its capabilities across education, technology, skills, enterprise, and related services, and creating a more diversified organizational platform.
2022–2023
Becoming a Connected Group
A new generation of ventures and institutions—including DIST, Danube Home Bangladesh, Amar Securities, AIBT, DUSC, KnowledgeVale, Premier International Academy, and Daffodil Response Center - expanded the Group's footprint and reinforced its evolution into a diversified ecosystem.
2024–2026
Global Leadership & Sustainable Impact
The ecosystem reaches global maturity. Daffodil International University (DIU) secures its position on the world stage, achieving outstanding recognition in the QS World University Rankings and making a massive global impact on the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Backed by a heavily digitized infrastructure spearheaded by DSL, our technology and education sectors operate seamlessly. Today, Daffodil Group stands as a premier socially responsible conglomerate, connecting education, venture capital, smart technology, and healthcare to drive transformation not just in Bangladesh, but globally.
